Amaresh Kulkarni

Amaresh Kulkarni serves as Executive Director of Information Technology at MDK, where he leads the firm's technology strategy, infrastructure, and digital innovation efforts. Drawing on more than 23 years of software engineering experience and over a decade in senior technology leadership roles, he combines deep technical expertise with a strategic approach to helping organizations evolve and grow.

At MDK, Amaresh is focused on aligning technology investments with business objectives while supporting the people and processes that drive the firm's success. He recognizes that technology plays a critical role in the firm's delivery of legal services and is passionate about developing tools that support the work behind that effort.

"I think for any business, sustainability and growth are two of the most important priorities," Amaresh explains. "Technology plays a vital role in both. My goal is to ensure we're building solutions that support where the organization is today while creating opportunities for where it wants to go tomorrow.”

Before joining MDK, Amaresh served as Director of Enterprise Architecture at OhioHealth, where he led enterprise technology strategy and architecture initiatives for one of the region's largest healthcare organizations. He also held architecture leadership roles with State Auto Insurance and Nationwide Insurance, helping guide large-scale transformation efforts, improve customer experiences, and support complex business operations through technology.

Throughout his career, Amaresh has led Agile teams across healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing environments. His experience includes enterprise architecture, digital transformation, systems integration, cloud technologies, and product engineering. He has designed and delivered scalable systems and omnichannel experiences across web, mobile, and smart home platforms. He has also developed integration solutions that streamlined business workflows across a variety of technologies and commercial platforms.

Amaresh maintains numerous professional certifications that reflect his commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. His credentials include TOGAF®, PMP®, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and MuleSoft architecture certifications. Together with his practical experience, they provide a strong foundation for aligning enterprise technology strategy with successful project delivery. His Project Management Professional certification further strengthens his ability to guide complex programs and initiatives from planning through execution.

In addition to his technical leadership, Amaresh is deeply committed to developing people and building high-performing teams. He believes the strongest organizations are those that empower individuals to think critically, share ideas, and continue learning throughout their careers. "Technology is constantly evolving, which means learning never stops," Amaresh says. "When people are encouraged to think, explore new ideas, and challenge assumptions, they open themselves to a universe of possibilities. That's where innovation and growth happen."

Outside of work, Amaresh enjoys spending time with his children and their golden retriever, Ram. A lifelong learner with a global perspective, he speaks four languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, and Telugu.
