Ella Roberts is an attorney in MDK’s Florida office whose practice focuses on creditors’ rights matters. Managing a caseload that spans both bankruptcy and timeshare foreclosure matters, she works within two highly nuanced and operationally driven areas of practice that demand both strategic thinking and strong communication. Known for her thoughtful, client-centered approach, Ella helps clients navigate complex legal issues with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Over the course of her career, Ella has represented secured creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings while also representing debtors in consumer bankruptcy matters. This broad perspective allows her to approach legal issues with a balanced understanding of the practical and procedural challenges clients face. She has also worked in insurance defense and within the financial services industry. experiences that helped shape her practical, solutions-oriented approach to client service.
Ella’s practice is grounded in responsiveness, professionalism, and a strong commitment to client service. Ella earned her Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she was active in both the Black Lawyers Association and Hispanic Lawyers Association. She also earned a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Miami, where she was recognized as a Florida Merit Scholar and a JFK/Martin Luther King Scholarship recipient.
Among her professional distinctions, Ella was selected as a 2018 Blackshear Fellowship Recipient, an honor awarded to only five emerging minority bankruptcy attorneys nationwide. Through the fellowship, she participated in the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, recognizing her promise and leadership within the bankruptcy legal community.
Outside of her legal practice, Ella is a devoted mother who enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures. She especially enjoys visiting destinations throughout Central America, Europe, and warm-weather locations across the United States, appreciating the opportunity to explore new perspectives and create meaningful experiences with her family. An avid reader, she especially enjoys contemporary fiction, including novels by Colleen Hoover.
