As MDK’s Executive Director of Product Development, Scott Sheaf spearheads the firm’s efforts to harness technology for driving innovation and delivering client-focused solutions. His role involves defining MDK’s product vision and strategy, mentoring a high-performing, cross-functional team, and integrating design thinking principles to optimize outcomes. “I want the technology we develop to catalyze the business, not constrain it,” Scott shares. “When technology accelerates a company and enables people to thrive, that’s success to me.”

Scott’s career spans an impressive array of industries, including robotics, medical devices, defense, and cybersecurity, where he has consistently combined his technical expertise with leadership acumen. His diverse background, encompassing nonprofit, manufacturing, and tech startup environments, equips him to solve complex challenges and deliver impactful solutions.

Scott has led product delivery from end to end, scaled engineering teams, and fostered cultures of accountability and creativity. “The key to my success has been the people I’ve surrounded myself with—my network, friendships, and business colleagues,” Scott notes. “It’s also about doing what’s right for your customers and the people you support.”

Scott is driven by a passion for learning and a commitment to helping others succeed. “What drives me is enabling everyone else around me to be great,” he explains. “I want to build a technology platform that empowers our business and makes life easier for our team, from peers to leadership.”
