Alyk Oflazian is a Senior Attorney at MDK based in Philadelphia, specializing in managing all aspects of Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy defense matters, including litigation and adversary proceedings. With over 10 years of experience, Alyk joined MDK in 2021 and has since excelled in navigating high-risk issues, such as court or client deadlines and hearing resolutions.
Alyk’s core strengths lie in issue-spotting, legal research, and writing, enabling her to provide thorough and efficient legal solutions. Alyk enjoys researching new issues and coming up with creative solutions, finding satisfaction in solving new problems using the tools, skills, and experience accumulated from law school, colleagues, and her own professional journey in the field.
Alyk collaborates with others, both inside and outside of MDK, to achieve success and support the firm's vision. Alyk is actively involved in professional and community initiatives. She served as a Tangled Title Fund Committee Member, supporting affordable housing and homelessness prevention. Additionally, Alyk volunteered for the Volunteers for the Indigent Project and served as a Philadelphia Bar Association Real Property Section Liaison. She is dedicated to raising awareness for the Armenian cause through local cultural demonstrations and volunteers for her children's school, organizing charitable events.
Driven by her interest in the early Greek philosophers, Alyk decided to practice law, aiming to be known as a trusted legal resource. She graduated summa cum laude from Temple University and was a legal intern for the Honorable Mary C. Jacobson in the Chancery Division during law school. Outside of MDK, Alyk dedicates herself to caring for her three young children.
